Feature by InterDimension
Salamence was introduced back in the 3rd Generation games, Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire, and Pokemon Emerald. You were able to obtain this Dragon/Flying type by going into Meteor Falls deepest room. But in order to do that, you must have Surf, and Waterfall and the corresponding badges to do so (Badge 5 and Badge 8). Once you obtain a Bagon, the first form of Salamence. Evolve Bagon at level 30 to become a Shelgon. Once your Shelgon appears, it will take him until Level 55 to evolve into Salamence. Salamence can be a great addition to the team, when trained properly. Salamence is weak to only Dragon and Ice types, but its better if he never fights an Ice type because then instead of being 2X Super Effective like dragons, Ice is 4X Super Effective because Salamence is Dragon and Flying. Its better to train Salamence, depending the nature, to be Fast and strong. so if he has a Jolly nature, and your sure his Attack and Speed IV's are 28-31, then he will be absolutely powerful if he has 252 EV's in those two categories. Just be sure to migrate a Bagon over from R/S/E then train up to become a powerful Salamence.
