Description

Flareon has been a fan favorite ever since its release back in the First Generation. It wasn't the best Pokemon you had ever seen, and even though it has gotten increasingly better over the years, it still isn't that great of a Pokemon competitively. It can only successfully be used in one specific way, and since its options are limited, it's tough to get everything setup before your opponent ruins your plan with it.


Warrior13's 6th Generation Competitive Suggested Flareon Moveset

Item - Toxic Orb
Nature - Adamant
Ability - Guts
Effort Values - 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP
Moveset - Flame Charge / SuperPower / Facade / Flare Blitz

Summary: Unfortunately, this is really the only usable Flareon Moveset in the Competitive World of Pokemon. However, it you set it up properly, it can be as deadly as they come. It beings by switching or coming in with a Pokemon weak to Fire Types. This will allow you to setup by using Flame Charge, making this slow Pokemon until a much quick version that can be used to sweep Pokemon teams. Guts will then be activated because of the Toxic Orb, instantly multiplying Flareon's Attack by x1.5. From there, Flareon can sweep with SuperPower, Facade, and STAB Flare Blitz, which have great overall power and coverage.
