Typhlosion has the same base stats as Charizard. But Charizard has more weaknesses AND resistances than Typhlosion. Plus Charizard is also immune to 1 type and super resistant to 2 types, and is weak to 2 types and super weak to 1 type. Typhlosion is neither super resistant nor super weak to any type.
But I think Charizard and Typhlosion can counter each other perfectly.

My recommended moveset for a Typhlosion-
Flamethrower (Main attack)
Eruption (Strongest attack, earlier the better)
Thunder Punch (Anti-water, or Anti-Charizard move)
Reversal (Anti Rock move, later the better)

Thyphlosion has always been my favorite pokemon. I mean how many fire types can learn an electric move (thunderpunch). I remeber beating gold and silver multiple times with thyplosion at level 50. that doesn't happen much does it!!!

Here is wat my typhlosion looks like:
Nature:rash
Item:lagging tail
Att:238
def:211
Sp. att: 313
Sp. def:197
Speed:213
HP:271

Moves:
Eruption
Overheat
Gyro ball
Earthquake

I gave him the lagging tail to make him slower which makes gyro ball more powerful, which is how i want my typhlosion to be.

typhlosion is a good pokemon. a good combo is ... well i don know cause i never had 1 (hahahahahahahahahahaah...........ha.....ha i wish i had 1 though)
blaziken is somewhat better cause he has a decent spd, high atk and sp.atk
and his defence and sp.def are the same as typhlosion.

typhlosion is better at blaziken at speed . typhlosion is like sceptile,
blaziken, and infernape. read -R.R.'s responce 2 know y..............
