|Strengths and Weaknesses
This table shows the strenths and weaknesses of this Pokemon, numbers less than one means the effect of those types of attacks are reduced by that factor, and numbers greater than one are increased by that factor. So for example, if the number is 2, then this Pokemon will incur about twice the damage as normal, 0.5, only half the normal damage.

OneAfter you complete the Spear Pillar, Palkia will be there
There is no better pokemon, they can both play different roles. Dialga's stats are 100HP/120Atk/120Def/150SpAtk/100SpDef/90Spd. Palkia's base stats are 90HP/120Atk/100Def/150SpAtk/120SpDef/100Spd. Dialga and Palkia are both very versatile pokemon. Palkia is the preferred Choice Scarf revenge killer, while Dialga is an amazing stealth rock lead/teammate. Palkia can bluff a choice set with a lusterous orb and then roast unsuspecting steel types alive. Palkia can be a Choice Specs Kyogre Water Spout absorber while striking it down in just 2 thunders. Dialga can even go mixed with bulk up. Palkia is great as a choice specs user because of its great speed stat, while Dialga can be a good phazer. They are both incredible and versatile special attackers with incredible movepools.

for those of you who think dialga is better stop talking about it on this website. therer is no better pokemon (dialga and palkia) although palkia has less weakness and more speed then dialga they are both good pokemon. Me and my brother have the games diomand and pearl for DS and we battle with dialga and palkia and sometimes dialga wins sometimes palkia wins.
the outcome of a battle is sometimes pure luck so stop talking about which pokemon is better.

Possibly the best pokemon ever... given one of the main movesets types as salamance, mixmence, he is almost unstoppable unless taking on another uber..
Item: life orb/white herb
earthquake (fire blast, Surf, or earth power if holding a white herb--or just keep him with earthquake)
Flamethrower is substitutable for fire blast, aura sphere can replace any move but draco meteor. if you don’t use surf, outrage/dragon claw can be replaced with aqua tail or spatial rend.
i say palkia is better than dialga because he has one weakness, dragon, which is a move that is uncommonly used by pokemon that aren’t dragon (palkia is the fastest pokemon from the dragon type, so he can beat most other dragons)while dialga has many commonly used weaknesses such as fighting and ground.
also, palkia's spatial rend has a high critical hit ratio, with 100 BP--- and can be used every turn. dialga's roar of time may be powerful, but has only 150 BP, which is extreamly weak for not being able to move the next turn. The moves hyper beam, giga impact, frenzy plant, hydro cannon, blast burn, rock wrecker, and roar of time are very ineffective because *simpler* moves of the same type are stronger for the 2 times they hit as opposed to the one time rechargeing moves hit.
dispite this dialga is also one of the best pokemon ever, and should not be judged by his less effective move roar of time.

Use Palkia as a Special attacker, period.

i guess that palkia is MORE STRONGER than the other diety, dialga..
say the dialga has pesky Roar Of Time, but it won't help..
palkia has only 1 weakness, the dragon based attacks
dialga has 2 weaknesses, ground and fight based attacks..
i used these moves to take down any dialgas :
Earth Power (dialga will fall beibeh!)
Protect (hell this move effective to block Roar Of Time)
Aura Sphere (when this move touch dialga, dialga will fall)
Spacial Rend (cool move, to take down several pokemons)
palkia has 2 adventages, it has spc.att & speed more than any dialgas could reach..
In pokemon movie 10, a wounded PALKIA still too strong for healthy DIALGA..
that's my opinion..

Palkia is awesome!!! its grass type weakness is cut down to normal damage because of it being half dragon type.
Beat the whole Eliete 4(proabably wrong spelling)without it fainting by itself.

OK i have diamond so i have dialga but as i keep hearing that both are the best.
just saying that we should stop arguing
I can say dialga has its advantages and so does palkia
dialga is a combo of steel and dragon
though it has more weakness then palkia it is more resistant to more types
palkia has only 1 weakness and is faster
dialga has roar of time which really can destroy palkia
palkia can learn aura sphere (so can dialga)which can kill dialga
my bro has pearl and sometimes we will battle with mixed results sometimes i win others he wins when our main pokemon battle
regardless they are both even their is no "superior Pokemon" here they have nearly the same ability so can we stop spamming this board saying that either dialga or palkia is the best because its pointless
the outcome of a battle is sometimes luck

Definatly one of the ULTRA superior pokemon out there

palkia is awsome. Heres the moves i hav for him...
it is probably the best legendary in the game, after Rayquaza. i do think it is beter than dialga as is weak to less types and has a higher speed. dialga can defeat palkia with roar of time, but stil has to recharge.
