Chansey

Description

Unlike Blissey, Chansey had a much different road to fame. It had to wait for an additional four extra-long generations to come and the creation of the Eviolite before it could rise up the competitive tier. But now, Chansey has eclisped even its final evolution, with better overall defensives stats. It runs almost exact same moveset and value spreads, but it just does it far superior.


Warrior13's 6th Generation Competitive Suggested Chansey Moveset

Item - Eviolite
Nature - Bold
Ability - Natural Cure
Effort Values - 252 Def / 252 SpDef / 4 HP

Moveset:
Soft-Boiled
Heal Bell / Aromatherapy
Toxic / Thunder Wave
Seismic Toss

Summary: Looks pretty familiar, huh? Well that's because outside of the item choice, Chansey is run almost 100% exactly like Blissey; this is both of their strandard movesets for every meta tier in Pokemon. Soft-Boiled allows you to regain valuable HP, and Heal Bell or Aromatherapy cures any status conditionings. Chansey can setup with either Toxic and slowly kill an opponent outside of Steel Types or Aegislash, or Thunder Wave to cripple the Pokemon and switch-out if necessary. Seismic Toss is a must, and is literally Chansey's only move that causes damage.

Countering: Four Words: Physical Fighting Type Moves. Period. It doesn't matter if your Pokemon will receive STAB or not with said move, as anything of this nature will surely do the trick. Physical Steel Types also get the job done, especially Aegislash.
